Faith Lee Min Ho Korean Drama The Great Doctor Notebook Time Travel

On the notebook and time travel...

Interesting to see what people think under the comments section in the link below. I agree with one person who said it's very well-plotted or well-created in the sense that it's unexpected and keeps people guessing.

The comments are in Chinese, but I translate a few here.

Personally, I have also been wondering what's going on and how they are going to solve this difficult riddle that they have created.

The first one by Zia:

如果是說恩秀經歷過結局後,回到了現代
又發現可以再回到過去方法
但已不能再次進入同一個年代
所以只能在還沒有崔瑩的一百年的古代
寫下手冊留給100年後遇見崔瑩自己?
亂猜的XD

If say, Eun Soo returns to the present at the end,
And discovers a way to go back again,
But she can't go back to the same era
So in the 100 years before Choi Young's time, she can only
write a notebook to herself who will return and meet Choi Young 100 years later.
Anyhow guess.

(Hmmm.... but .... So, this is assuming she is 2 different persons at 2 different times...and they happen to look alike.  Mm... what about the time difference between Hwa Ta's 1000 years and the fact that the notebook is not that old with highligher ink still visible? So, maybe it's like a year in present time is equivalent to... 100 years over there? So... that notebook is... 10 years old?

But what about her memory of that notebook and her voice to herself? If she is 2 different persons at 2 different times, then... how to explain her memory that comes back suddenly? Her past self is leaving notes and speaking to her present self who doesn't remember....Meaning, she is the same person, just ... different times?

Meaning... either her memory is wiped out when she goes in and out of that gateway. OR...Time paradox in place. Time loop? Like Back To the Future. Events have not happened yet in Eun Soo's present. Therefore, she doesn't "remember" because it hasn't happened yet. But... how to explain how she can remember the future self talking to her?

Ergo... her memory is wiped out when she leaves the gateway? So...

Well, like I said, it's fascinating how they are going to wrap this up.)

The post by X-man is interesting and quite amusing. These people are really thinking about this. ^__^

And the post by 藤井龍野 :

簡單說 恩秀是穿越了兩次時空吧? 第一次穿越的記錄寫在日記本上 我猜一定是要回去現代的那天發生了甚麼意外
讓空間扭轉了 導致恩秀又再一次的穿越時空 不過第二次穿越前的第一次記憶已經沒有了 所以那才會不隻到那本筆記本是由她親筆所寫 相信他再一次穿越時空 答案應該很清楚了 要救她的愛人 崔瑩

Simply said, Eun Soo time traveled twice, right?  The first time, she recorded it in her diary. I guess something happened on that day of her return that caused time to reverse, causing Eun Soo to again travel through time. But this 2nd time that's before the 1st time, she has no memory of the 1st time. That's why she don't know that the diary was actually written by herself. I believe if she travels through time again, the answer should be very clear that she needs to save her lover Choi Young.

(Hmmm... this is the best idea so far, I think. It's a lot like Back To The Future.)

Caroline replies:
嗯嗯…這一點我沒想到耶~第二次回到過去會忘了第一次的過程,但為什麼會經過這麼多年呢?那又為什麼會自己寫給自己呢?難怪說她算出自已何時會回到過去,然後再發生一次嗎?

Yes, yes. I didn't think of this point.  Returning the second time will forget the first time's passage, but why after so many years? Then why write to herself? Could it be she calculated when she would be returning to the past and it would all happen again?

(Hmm.... at first, I thought Eun Soo was messing up history. But I think she's fixing it. First of all, she's a surgeon (albeit, cosmetic surgeon).  This is a requirement because she's going back to save a few select individuals such as that kid who will lead a revolution in future.

For Choi Young... question is, would he have been stabbed and would he have died of the complications of that injury if she hadn't been there?

In Ep 16, her memory returns that she is supposed to prevent him from walking into a trap. So, her purpose in returning is for this? )

All this thinking, is making me hungry.....
